An English Bloke living in France

Big Firms losing the plot

Recently I’ve had a few problems with two major websites. Google and Facebook. Trying to find the solutions to these problems is still ongoing and I’m no where nearer finding the answers.

Both of them divert you off to help discussion groups where you and hundreds of other lost souls with similar problems are supposed to figure it out for your self.  Fat chance of that…. you do get a little help but no one knows why their solution works for them and a few others but not you….

I also had a problem with something a Filofax Organiser I had purchased from one of their stores in UK. Given that I live in France, returning the item to the store wasn’t really an option for me. When I pointed out the problem to their main customer services people. They acknowledged the issue straight away, compensated me for the problem and arranged a replacement to be despatched to me. It took a few weeks to sort it self out. But all along I was kept informed and the problem was solved.

Sure it is old style customer service, but it works and of course I will be telling all my friends what great customer service I got from Filofax… compared to Thorntons or Facebook or Google… they are streets ahead them all.
