Are smartphones that smart? I would love an iPhone, but here in France the tariffs are very expensive, and with the data restrictions the operators seem to be kerbing the use of these devices.

I have noticed users swapping over to using wifi where possible. This is obviously not as convenient but it works.

I am using an iPod Touch, if this had the better camera and gps of the iPhone 4 it would be just as good and far cheaper to use!!

I am thinking about joining the Fon WiFi network which will give me access to a large number of hotspots in UK and France
