Not having much luck with Goodreads. My Kindle profile is unable to be read across to Goodreads, message from Support… ‘Thanks for reporting the issue. There are a small percentage of Kindle users that just don’t seem to sync, even if their settings are correct. Unfortunately, it’s looking like you fit into that category. Our developers are currently working on this...

Sending an email?
When you ask someone to send you an email, what do you say?
‘Email me’ is what I normally say, but I’ve heard a few variations recently.
‘Ping me’, not sure where this came from, the only ‘Ping’ I know comes from TCP/IP
or ‘Inbox me’ again not sure how this one came about although I’ve only heard a couple of people use it.
Thoughts.

Roaming Scandal →
Love this idea, remove roaming charges and just let users use any network that can serve them where ever they are. Then it would be in the networks interest to try to capture traffic in areas where they don’t serve now.
Let’s hope it happens

Big Firms losing the plot
Recently I’ve had a few problems with two major websites. Google and Facebook. Trying to find the solutions to these problems is still ongoing and I’m no where nearer finding the answers.
Both of them divert you off to help discussion groups where you and hundreds of other lost souls with similar problems are supposed to figure it out for your self. Fat chance of that…. you do...
Thorntons →
I was not surprised to read this story, if my own experience is anything to go by, it doesn’t surprise me that their sales are down with such poor customer service.
Do not order anything from Thorntons, premium price for lousy service.
Red Bubble
I’ve just set up an account on the photo site RedBubble, it seems to be quite a nice site, better than Deviant Art in a lot of ways. So I will most probably be posting more of my photos on there in future.

Thorntons Chocolates... don't order from them
Don’t ever order anything from Thorntons On-line http://www.thorntons.co.uk/ their website is a disgrace. I could only get their ordering system to work if I used Internet Explorer on a PC. In the end it took me over 30 minutes to get a simple order processed.
Then when it came to delivery of the gift they sent me a tracking number, I had specifically requested delivery on the 12 April, as...

Smartphones
Are smartphones that smart? I would love an iPhone, but here in France the tariffs are very expensive, and with the data restrictions the operators seem to be kerbing the use of these devices.
I have noticed users swapping over to using wifi where possible. This is obviously not as convenient but it works.
I am using an iPod Touch, if this had the better camera and gps of the iPhone 4 it would...

The Admiralty Regrets
The book I am currently reading about the submarine HMS Thetis.
The story of the loss of 99 men whilst the sub was undergoing its first sea trials in Liverpool Bay in June 1939
